The Globe (neu 'Y Glb i fi) has been my local for the past 10 years, despite me having moved away from Bangor a couple of years ago. I still visit Bangor a lot and always go to the Globe. Best pub in Bangor. Very welcoming, friendly staff, great choice of beers including craft ales, great place for a quiet coffee in the afternoon too! Ger (the landlord) runs a great pub! Despite it being a Welsh pub it's very welcoming for English speakers too, as I often take my English girlfriend there with me!

This is the best pub in upper Bangor, hands down. Small and intimate, great set of regulars, nice staff, great pool and darts area. Good for watching the football/rugby. Toilets need a bit of work, but otherwise top marks.
A pretty Welsh pub. Set back from main road but can still get busy. A decent place to go and watch the football. Good staff. Decent beer. There is a pool table but can get very busy on a weekend.
