Extremely friendly and helpful staff but a motel without a soul! Just a bit of colour beyond beige, some flowers or even a painting or two in the corridors would bring this place back from beyond bland. The beds are comfortable, blackout curtains and they found a friend's mobile and posted it back to him - no real food or facilities on site. Cheap, and almost cheerful.
The rooms in this particular Travelodge are fairly decent,no Travelodge isn't a 5 star hotel but what do you expect for the price. Travelodge provide a useful stopping point accommodation for someone who doesn't require anything lavish or pointlessly expensive. (each to their own).
Booked two family rooms, both were clean, quite and warm. The parking was free and plentiful. The staff were friendly and helpful. All in all a convenient and welcome stop for any travelers on their way to or from the port at Holyhead. Not many facilities in the service area, just toilets and a Burger King. Fuel is available here but at the next junction along the a55 is a Tesco where the fuel is a cheaper price. Will more than likely stop here again on my next trip to Ireland.
I would definitely recommend this hotel for budget travellers. It is situated near North Wales Expressway A55 (at one of its Services area). Although the cost is low, you'll get all the basic amenities and comfortable mattress and pillows. You can make your own hot drinks with kettle, tea, coffee and sugar provided in each room. This travelodge is located very near to Snowdonia National Park, makes it easier for the adventurous folks. Food outlets are also located nearby, or you can get it at nearby Bangor town.
Car park has no lighting and huge potholes, has the feeling of being abandoned. Hotel seems to big for the number of staff. Dried vomit stains on the corridor carpets.
